Hi, have you ever seen magic before? Well I’m going to talk to you about Upside Down Magic. It is an OBOB book by Sarah Mlynowski, Lauren Myracle, and Emily Jenkins. Upside Down Magic is funny because the main character Nory turned into a cat with dragon wings. Nory and her friends Elliot and Andres are trying to figure out how to use their magic powers in a class called Upside Down Magic. Another character named Bax turned into a rock at the beginning of headstand practice. In conclusion, the book Upside Down Magic is cool and fun. I think you should read it!

Today we are going to learn about Tualatin Elementary recess and what my friends and I like to do. One of the things the third grade girls like to do is go on the swings and play this game called super baby. We go on the swing on our belly and say "Super
Baby!"
And we also like to swing high and then jump and say "Whoo hoo!" We do it again and again and it is so fun. I also run to my swing and I go super high. When it rains we all have to go undercover. When we can't swing, I like to jump rope with my friends. Now I have told you what my friends and I like to do at recess. Recess time is very fun! Thanks for reading my blog!

I am blogging about being a good friend. I have lots of good friends at school. All of my classmates are my best friends and they treat me like family. Yazmin and I are like sisters because we care about each other. Sometimes we goof off, and sometimes we play superheros. We have been friends since Kindergarten. Today we are in 3rd grade, and it's fun! At school we like to play on our computers, and we love to play outside. The best part is we go to the library every Tuesday.  Library is really fun! I hope you will have a good friend like me. Thank you for reading and have a good day!

I’m going to tell you all about my TEAF Indoor Sports Class. We meet in the gym on Thursdays after school. We played kickball at our first class. This game is like baseball except you kick the ball. Dodge ball is another fun sport we get to do in this class. I can’t wait to play soccer! Soccer is very fun because you are on teams, and it is even more fun than playing free for all. We also look forward to playing floor hockey, volleyball, and basketball. Mr. Hill teaches us. He always makes sports active and fun for us to learn to play. Now you know all about Indoor Sports TEAF class!

I am going to tell you about our classroom blog. In fact I am writing a blog entry right now! Let’s get started. Blogging gives us a chance to write about something that is happening at school. Everybody in Mrs. Heath’s class gets to write on our blog. It is REALLY FUN!!!!!!!! We meet in a group in the hall to plan and write our blog. If you do not finish writing in the hall, you can finish in class in your free time.  You get your writing posted on our teacher’s website. You can comment on the blogs your classmates write. We have a blog master and she helps us figure out what we want to write about.  So now that you know what a blog is, do you want to write a blog? You can explain what a blog is to someone you know!

Art Lit Clay Cats by Alex

Have you ever made something fun out of clay? Our class made awesome clay cats in Art Lit. Our project was based on the Cat and Bird painting by artist Paul Klee. First, we had to squish the clay into a cat head shape and cut off some clay to make the ears. Next, we used this special glue called slip that we put on to make the ears stick to the head. Finally, we got to make the details of the cat face using knives and pencils. I made eyes, a nose, and whiskers. Then, it was time to paint! We used bright colors like Paul Klee did on his paintings. Clearly, this was a very, very fun project! I’m really glad we have parent volunteers help us do fun projects like this in Art Literacy.
